Medieval Strap-end. Circa 13th-14th century AD. Copper-alloy, 9.43 g. 37.48 mm. An unusual form of strap terminal with a wide kidney shaped body and long acorn finial. Formed of an inner frame or fork spacer with the front and back plates being riveted in place. The face plate is decorated with alternating plain and toothed chevrons. Ref: Egan & Pritchard.
