Roman Intaglio Finger Ring. Circa 2nd century AD. Silver, 6.73g. 23 mm. UK ring size J, US size 5. A solid silver D-shaped ring with tapering shoulders and flat bezel. The bezel is set with a red Carnelian stone intaglio depicting a standing figure. Guiraud's type IId, Henig's type II, a form dated broadly to the first to mid-third centuries.
